Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can get away with. We don't show ads, we don't sell your data, and we don't ask you to create an account. If you want us to delete your data, email us and we will.

When you use the Service, we collect:

• An anonymous account identifier generated for you at first launch (a random UUID).
• Gameplay data: which puzzles you played, your guesses, completion times, whether you solved the puzzle, and your current and longest streak.
• Device platform: iOS or Android, for compatibility and debugging.

We do not collect your name, email address (unless you email us), phone number, location, contacts, photos, advertising identifier, or health data.

We use the data we collect to:

• Power your streak counter and 14-day archive
• Synchronize your progress across sessions on the same device
• Prevent cheating and ensure fair play (server-side puzzle validation)
• Diagnose bugs and improve the Service

We use Supabase to host our backend, database, and anonymous authentication. Gameplay data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure and is subject to their privacy practices.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, tracking pixels, or analytics SDKs. If that changes, we will update this page before the new integration ships.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, contact us at hello@yourdailypuzzle.com and we will delete the associated data.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to ask us to stop processing it. Because your account is anonymous, we may need you to share your account identifier (visible in the app's settings screen) so we can find your record. Email hello@yourdailypuzzle.com to exercise any of these rights.

We keep your gameplay data while your account is active. If your account shows no activity for 24 months, we may automatically delete it. You can request deletion sooner at any time.

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (managed database with row-level security). No system is perfectly secure — if a breach occurs, we will notify affected users within a reasonable timeframe as required by law.

Our backend is hosted in the United States. If you are located elsewhere, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Service you consent to this transfer.

We will post updates to this Privacy Policy on this page and update the effective date above. If changes are material, we will also announce them in the app before they take effect.
